FAQ's about
the Atomex GM-20E
1) Can the
GM-20E spray acrylic wall & ceiling paint? - Yes, the GM-20 is designed
specifically for spraying this type of paint, it will draw the paint
directly from a 15 litre paint drum. You are not required to thin the paint
but we do recommend stirring the paint thoroughly before spraying.
2) Can the
GM-20E spray oil based enamel paint? - Yes, the GM-20 will easily spray
oil based enamels, you will need to use a smaller tip and change the filter
in the gun to a finer filter. Oil based enamel is easier to spray than water
based acrylic, it just requires a smaller tip to reduce the flow of the
paint, other wise you will get runs in the finish
3) Can the
GM-20E spray a roof? - This is the most common question, so please read
carefully. If you wish to spray a roofing type of membrane then the answer
is no, this type of coating is very thick and the GM-20 is simply too small
for such thick paints, we would suggest to purchase a larger machine such as
the
Atomex GM-60E.
If you wish to spray a decorative type of coating such as Solar Guard or
Weathershield this will be ok, these are popular water based acrylic
coatings and commonly used with the GM-20E.
4) I have
seen the same machines on Ebay for half the price? - The GM-20E is not
available on Ebay and the machines offered on Ebay are not the same model.
The GM-20E design is much different than cheapies offered on Ebay, we
offer 25 Months warranty backed by 20 years experience in professional
airless spray equipment with service agents across Australia. Beware of
machines sold on Ebay from the USA stating that they have dual voltage and
an International Warranty. This is not the case , they hold no such warranty
in Australia with the manufacturers and will not be covered under warranty.
